Corina Kiefert Chester: The Journey Home

This exhibition traces the journey home not as a destination, but as a gradual return to the places, memories, and parts of ourselves we have carried along the way.

Through layered landscapes, shifting light, and intimate traces of human and animal presence, the works evoke the experience of leaving, wandering, remembering, and finally finding a sense of belonging. Roads, thresholds, horizons, and remnants become metaphors for movement through memory and time.

Together, the works suggest that home is rarely a fixed place. It is something we reconstruct through remembrance, encounter, and recognition—a quiet realization that, after traveling far enough, the way home may lead not backward, but inward.
