Corina Kiefert Chester

Corina is a multi media artist inspired by the tranquil beauty of the rural landscape and the numerous gardens surrounding her home. Many of her works are based on the theme of memories and family. Corina endeavours to create a magical solitude, a feminine space where the love and connection to family and nature is represented.

The figures in Corina's work symbolize the enduring influence of her roots on both her personal and artistic journey. They are a heartfelt tribute to her ancestors and heritage and a connecting thread to the past and present. The red house appears in many of her works and represents home, the anchor of a journey’s beginning or end, where body and spirit are restored and nurtured.

Gelatin plate printmaking is an exciting medium and she enjoys combining drawing, mixed media and collage to create unique and distinctive works of art.
