Annabelle Jane Murray

Annabelle Jane Murray has been involved in the arts, one way or another, for many years. Annabelle grew up in Quebec, and has a B.A. from Queen’s University. She spent her early career as a book designer in the Toronto publishing industry.

Annabelle is a self-taught artist. Her style is informed by her graphic design background, and is inspired by an abiding love of nature. She paints in acrylic, usually with vivid colours that sing, and she often highlights her work with a multitude of dots. The final painting is a portal into the beauty of the natural world.

Annabelle’s process is entirely intuitive, and her paintings are joyful and vivid representations of the natural world. The application of hundreds of tiny dots adds a final layer to each painting.
